Sunwal

Sunwal is known name for all who know the biggest Sugar Factory in Nawalparasi,it was said a jungle area before but there is a myth to this city which people still carry orally by local aged people,there was a golden ring on the neck of an ox which was made an offer to Lord Shiva by any king and the thieves hit the ox for the golden ring .The place where the ox got the wound is called Sunwal which refers Gold in Nepali and the ox got settled as Baba Bard Goriya Temple in Kerwani village .

If you want to visit Sunwal you can reach there by train from Delhi to Gorakhpur in 12-14 hours from which you can reach Sunauli on a bus in two hours and from there you can cross Nepal India Border and can reach to Bhairawa in half an hour.From Bhairawa direct bus comes to Sunwal in one hour.There are many  beautiful locations in Sunwal as it covers more areas now as a municipal areas.

I remember the beautiful Turiya River which has been one of the known place for all .Similarly Rambarpur area inclding Machharmara and Jargaha area is most interesting areas for me because there are lots of things you can do as a visitor.The green forests with clean water makes these areas best for picnic with families.The most important thing in this town is cleanliness ,people are seen busy in garden and other decorations of the home from morning to evening.A clean city of Nawalparasi has lots of stories in it you enjoy local markets where you can enjoy street food and local needs.

The most interesting aspect of Sunwal is the people here  has  interest in Education Sector,there has been several political and non political organization who with the help of Municipal  community has been working for Education .As the local youth has migrated to abroad for further  studies they have brought lots of changes and policies in education system assembling the foreign policy like montessory system of teaching in local areas.Red cross Committee ,Traffic Commmittee,Municipality and other organization including temples committee regulate different school programs and youth orientation programs in local areas in rapid speed.

Areas like Bhumahi,Harkatta,Basa,Jargaha ,Mishrauli,Tharha Ban,Badera,Kerwani and Bankatti are major attractions here ,you can have a bike ride in these area and enjoy local forests,field and riverside there because the wildness is the most essential part.The hygenic and beautiful scenery attracts a lot and the social environment of people attract  you most.You can have a visit to Baba Bard Goriya Temple ,Pani Tanki area for picnic or you can have a forest trip with friends for picnic and camping.The areas are usually used by occassional Army camps for training so you can enjoy the forest facility too.
