Elizabeth and Urhiya Language

Which language do you like most ,I said Urhiya,why so,because the first friend I had was Elizabeth,who was a Christrian by religion and helped me lot to understand her language,culture,cuisine and songs she knew.We Nihim,Edward,Anand and Laukadiya were friends and we sang the  song halluah everytime,we knew how to prepare the cakes in Christmas,she was a friend of mine and Elizabeth was a Christian name.

We enjoyed our days in yard,Elizabeth prepared lots of dishes like roti sabji,cakes and different food items as she knew ,pickle of ginger she had.We ran around the tea gardens,collected mangoes,chalta tenga and Daba tenga named Pamelo and used as pickle to have during day time.Local monkeys were our part of play and we just planned to tease with stones,after all I was a girl who jumped the walls around tea gardens to chase the monkeys on the way.

Story of Elizabeth and me does not end here only,we had a picnic in forest area with landowners who cooks different cuisine on large bamboo,tea,fish and rice was prepared using bamboo and we enjoyed whole night.It was 1992 and the film about HIV Aids in India was being shoot and we just saw Directors from Kolkata were clicking the pictures .

I was in class two only and I and Elizabeth notices a lots of facts about Urhiya language,culture,folk dances named Jhumur dance and different talk show and tv show prepared there.We kid just enjoyed the editing of all movies and kept on clapping.Elizabeth belonged to that culture and her description of own daily life become part of digital industry and we class two students just smiled to see the value of Urhiya language ,culture and use of digital technology to introduce our local culture.
